A Little Bit More Style
Cessna designed the Cardinal to replace the excellent 172...It never did, but wound up creating a nice little community all on its own. The 177 is a little bit larger and quicker than the Skyhawk and has many unique features, among them the use of a stabilator, no wing strut to get in your way and some better visibility forward and up. The 177 is an excellent step up to a faster aircraft and one with a little bit more style and complexity than some of the smaller singles.
